A translucent, glowing building – a node of communication, illumination and energy flows, ever present that signals the 24/7 operation of the Prague Emergency Medical Service ZZS. The volume is defined by a tall compact tower, holding the MOC at the top, and a double level plinth that frames an interior courtyard and multiple vegetated terraces organizing the common areas as well as the logistical operation of the emergency service. The building is enveloped by a double-skin facade that sustainably moderates the indoor environment, looking north towards the open landscape.
